Make sure there is a simcard in your Blackberry
1. Turn off all of the wireless connections
2. Go to Applications, then go to Options
3. Select Advanced Options
4. Select SIM Card
5. Type MEPD. You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing
6. On the next screen, type MEP then [ALT BUTTON] then the number 2 (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing)
7. You should be presented with a prompt “Enter Network MEP Code”. Type in the unlock code
8. You should get a code accepted message. Your phone is now unlocked

1. Turn on your Blackberry and click the “Manage Connections” icon. Choose the option “Turn off all connections”. All connections will be disabled.
2. Go back to the Home screen and click the “Options” icon and select “Advanced Options”
3. Scroll down and select “SIM Card” from the list
4. Press the Blackberry key and select “Show Keyboard” to bring up the keyboard
5. Press the following keys in order: MEPD
6. On the next screen, type MEP then [ALT BUTTON] then the number 2 (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing)
7. A prompt will appear asking for the MEP code. Type in the unlock code
8. Reboot your device
9. Re-enable your wireless connections
You must have a dissalowed SIM card in your phone (a sim from another carrier, not from the original carrier)
1. The Blackberry will prompt you with the message “Your sim card requires an unlock code. Would you like to unlock it?”. Pick “Yes”
2. You should be presented with a prompt “Enter Network MEP Code”. Type in the unlock code
3. You should get a code accepted message. Your phone is now unlocked
There is also an alternate method to unlock your Blackberry Bold 9780. Heres how:
1. Open Blackberry Tray
2. Press on “Options”
3. Press on “Device”
4. Scroll down to “Advanced system settings”
5. Choose “Simcard”
6. Type the letters MEPD. You will not see anything appear as you type
7. On the next screen, type MEP then [ALT BUTTON] then the number 2 (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing)
8. You should be presented with a prompt “Enter Network MEP Code”. Type in the unlock code
9. You should get a code accepted message. Your phone is now unlocked
You must have a dissalowed SIM card in your phone (a sim from another carrier, not from the original carrier)

3. Scroll down and a select “Sim Card”
4. Type the letters MEPD. You will not see anything appear as you type
5. On the next screen, type MEP then [ALT BUTTON] then the number 2 (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing)
6. You should be presented with a prompt “Enter Network MEP Code”. Type in the unlock code
7. You should get a code accepted message. Your phone is now unlocked
You must have a SIM card in your phone (can be active or inactive), and turn wireless mode off.
1. Go to the Options menu
2. Select Advanced options => and then Sim card
3. Type MEPP then the [ALT BUTTON] then the number 2 (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing)
4. You should be presented with a prompt asking for an MEP Code. Type in the unlock code
5. You should get a code accepted message. Your phone is now unlocked

4. Scroll down to “advanced system settings”

A. On your BlackBerry, go to Options > Advanced Options > Sim Card
B. At that screen type MEPD (see note below) on your keyboard. A new menu will pop up.
If your BlackBerry has a SureType keyboard (71xx and 81xx devices) you will need to double-tap the P, so the actual keys entered become M E P P D.
C. Look for Network in the list
D. If your device is unlocked, it should say “Disabled” or “Inactive”. If it says Active, it’s still locked to that carrier
Make sure your SIM card is NOT inserted into your Blackberry
1. Turn on the phone and click the “Manage Connections” icon. Choose the option “Turn off all connections”.
2. Go back to the Home screen and click the “Options” icon and select “Advanced Options”
3. Scroll down and select “SIM Card” from the list
4. Press the following keys in order: MEPD
5. On the next screen, type MEP then [ALT BUTTON] then the number 2 (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing)
6. A prompt will appear asking for the MEP code. Type in the unlock code
7. Reboot your device
