If you are getting a code error message upon entering in your Samsung unlock code, follow these instructions.
1) Go into your Wireless & Network options/Mobile Network Options and disable all wireless connections, including any Wi-fi, Bluetooth and GPS connections.
2) Enter in your freeze code (if you received one [note that not all phones will ask for a freeze code]) and then Network unlock code. If you were provided with a Provider or Subnet code, enter in those if prompted.
Still no luck? try Use these alternate instructions.
1. Power on phone with a non-accepted sim (a sim that isn’t from the original carrier). When prompted, do not enter code. Skip that and go to the dialer.
2. In the phone dialer, type in *7465625*638*#
3. A pop-up window will appear. In it you will need to enter in the MCC/MNC code for the provider you want to use the phone with. So for example, if you wanted to use the phone with T-Mobile USA, you would type in 310260.
You can find a full list of MCC/MNC here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Network_Code
NOTE: If your network has more than one MCC/MNC, you will need to try each possible MCC/MNC combo. For example, AT&T has multiple MMC/MNC combos. They have MCC: 310 MNC: 410 or MCC: 310 MNC: 380. So you would need to try entering 310410, and if that doesn’t end up working you would try 310380.
4. In the CONTROL KEY field enter in your NCK unlock code. Press OK.
5. You should get a message: LOCK SUCCESSFUL
6. Restart the phone
Once your phone boots up you should get the message: SIM card added to SAFE list. The phone should now be unlocked. If the steps above don’t work, try repeating them without a simcard in the phone.
Here is a list of common MCC/MNC codes.
