The Pantech Discover was released in January 2013. It comes with a Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait cpu, Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset, Adreno 225 GPU, 16 GB of built in storage space (in addition to an external microSD card slot that could be expanded up to 32 Gigabytes), 1 GB RAM, 4.8 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors, 12.6 MP Mega-pixel autofocus LED flash digital camera, 1080p@30fps video, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, Gps navigation, and runs on the Android v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating system.
Unlocking your phone will allow you to use it on ANY GSM carrier worldwide, such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Rogers, Fido, Koodo, Vodafone, Tim, Claro, and many more. Shortly after you order, the unlock code with instructions will be emailed to you.
Listed below are the instructions you will need to unlock your Pantech Discover:
1. Insert a non-accepted simcard (a simcard that isn’t from the original carrier). Power on phone.
2. Once it finishes booting up, you will be prompted to enter in your “Sim network unlock PIN”
3. Enter in the unlock code. If you don’t have an unlock code for your phone, you can get one on our Pantech unlock code webpage.
4. Your phone is now permanently unlocked.
