The Motorola Cliq 2 was launched in January 2011. Its design is similar to the original Motorola Cliq model, but has been updated with a chrome surround and curved soft touch plastic back. Some other notable upgrades are a bigger screen, faster data, improved music player, a great slide-out keyboard, updated Android OS, and more. This is also an excellent social-networking smartphone thanks to some great social networking widgets provided by Motoblur. The phone can operate on 2G Networks (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G Networks (HSDPA 1700 / 2100 / 850).
Some key features on this phone include a 1 GHz processor, 1 GB of storage (with a microSD card slot that can support up to 32 GB of additional storage), and 512 of RAM. It measures 116 x 59.6 x 14.5 mm, weighs 175 grams, has a 3.7 inch (~265 ppi pixel density) TFT capacitive touchscreen with 256K colors, 5 MP autofocus dual-LED flash digital camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1, microUSB v2.0, GPS, and operates on the Android v2.2 Froyo OS.
Listed below are the instructions you will need to unlock your Motorola Cliq 2:
1. Insert a SIM card from a different carrier (not a sim from the original carrier). Power on phone.
2. The phone won’t recognize the new simcard and will prompt you for a subsidy password.
3. Type in your unlock code. If you don’t have an unlock code for your phone, you can get one on our unlock Motorola webpage.
4. Your phone is now unlocked.
Note: If your phone is on a 3G network, type **057* then enter the unlock code into the window that appears.
