Unlock LG Optimus 2XThe LG Optimus 2X (aka LG P990 Star, LG P990 Optimus Speed, T-Mobile G2x) was released in February 2011. It is the world’s first smartphone to feature a dual-core processor, and the third LG phone to run the Android OS. The phone can operate on 2G Networks (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G Networks (HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100 and  HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100 ).

Some key features on this phone include a Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, ULP GeForce GPU, Tegra 2 AP20H chipset, 8 GB storage (with a microSD card slot that can support up to 32 GB of additional storage), and 512 megs of RAM. It measures 123.9 x 63.2 x 10.9 mm, weighs 139 grams, has a 4.0 inch Gorilla Glass (~233 ppi pixel density) IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, a primary 8 MP autofocus digital camera with LED flash, a secondary 1.3 MP digital camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1, microUSB v2.0, GPS, and operates on the Android v2.2 Froyo OS.

Listed below are the instructions you will need to unlock your LG Optimus 2X P990:

1. Insert a non-accepted simcard into your phone (a simcard that isn’t from the original carrier).

2. Power on phone.

3. Top of the phone will display “phone is sim network locked”. Slide the lock icon to right, which will bring you to the unlock code screen.

4. Phone will display “Sim network unlock PIN. Unlock attempt 1 of 10″. This means you have 10 attempts to enter in a correct unlock code.

5. Type in your unlock code. If you don’t have an unlock code for your phone, you can get one on our unlock LG webpage.

6. Your phone is now unlocked.
