The Samsung Evergreen was launched in November 2010. It’s constructed out of 70 percent recycled plastic, making it one of the more eco-friendly devices on the market today. Even the packaging is made out of 80 percent recycled paper, and the user manual comes on a CD. It has a nice responsive slide-out 4-row QWERTY keyboard, and is priced at under 30$ with a 3 year contract from AT&T. It also has social networking integration through with AT&T’s socialnet, which allows you to see all your friends’ Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace updates all on one screen. The phone can operate on 2G networks (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G networks (HSDPA 850 / 1900).
Some key features on this phone include 256 MB storage space (with a microSD card slot that can support up to 16 GB of additional storage). It measures 116 x 56 x 15 mm, weighs 128 grams, has a 1.92 inch (~208 ppi pixel density) TFT 256K color display, 2 MP 1600×1200 pixels digital camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1, microUSB v2.0, and GPS.
