The Samsung Galaxy Q was released in August 2011. It’s basically Canada’s version of the Samsung Gravity SMART. The device was originally rumored to be a pretty impressive 5.3″ phone/tablet, but as it turns out, the rumors were wrong. It’s actually an entry level, easy-to-use Android device that has a slide out QWERTY keyboard, 3.2-inch display, and a touchscreen interface. The phone can operate on 2G networks (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G networks (HSDPA 850 / 1900).
Some key features on this phone include 2 GB storage (with a microSD card slot can support up to 32 GB of storage), measures 113.9 x 58.7 x 13.9 mm, weighs 135 grams, has a 3.2 inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors, 3.15 MP (2048×1536 pixels) LED flash digital camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1, microUSB v2.0, GPS, and operates on the Android v2.2 Froyo OS. The battery life on this phone lasts up to 312 hours on standby and up to 3 hours talk time.

1. Input a non accepted simcard and power on the phone
2. the bottom of the phone will display the message “phone locked”. Tap the message with your finger and slide it upwards or off to the side.
3. On the next screen you will be prompted to enter the “Network lock control key”. You can now enter in your unlock code. If you don’t have an unlock code for your phone, you can get one on our unlock Samsung webpage.
4. You should see a “Network Unlock Successful” message. Your phone is unlocked.
